Right of Access to Public Information
Law 19/2013 of 9th December on transparency, access to public information and good governance, aims to extend and reinforce the transparency of public activitiy, to regulate and guarantee the right of access to the information relating to said activity, and to establish the obligations of good governance that civil servants must comply with, as well as the consequences they shall face in the event of non-compliance.
Section III of the abovementioned law refers to the right of access to public information, which is defined as the contents or documents, regardless of their format or medium, which are in the possession of the UIB and which have been drawn up or acquired in the exercise of its functions.
All the information that is already available on the UIB website and its Transparency Portal may not be requested. If you would like to obtain general information on how the UIB works, you may consult the information page, which includes different channels for contacting the UIB.
The body responsible for deciding upon requests for access to public information is the UIB Office of the Secretary General.
Requests may be initiatied in one of two ways:
- By submitting a written request addressed to the University of the Balearic Islands, to the attention of the Secretary General, cra. de Valldemossa, km 7,5, 07122 Palma (Illes Balears).
- By filling in the following electronic form: Request for access to public information about the UIB
